Chroma Zen-Sation: 7 1/4" Santoku Knife Z03
A santoku knife is often called an Asian chef's knife. They have a straighter edge than a chef's knife, and a more rounded spine, particularly near the point. They are also generally lighter and thinner, allowing them to more easily chop vegetables.
The Chroma Zen-Sation Damascus kitchen knife follows the many centuries old Japanese tradition of forging knives. The combination of old Japanese art and the Western modern influence created a knife with fantastic "cutting comfort".
The Damascus knife is extremely sharp and can hold the edge longer then most knives on the market. Due to the "soft grip" of the handle, the knife has a unique handle grip security.
The blade of the Zen-Sation knife consists of 32 layers applied on the Chroma VG-14 blade steel. The softer Damascus steel protects the hard edged VG-14 cutting edge and at the same time keeps it flexible. The blade itself features the traditional extremely sharp Japanese "V" geometry.
